About this girl…
Born in Tehran circa 1979, during the demise of the American embassy. immigrated to the states when I was 6.
Come here to join me in the hilarity that is cultural fusion, and the mistake that is its amplification.
PS: None of the opinions here are that of my employer or my contributers’ employers, or my roommate, or Grandmother (unless noted) or whatever … bla bla bla … don’t sue me . Thanks.
Some factoids about leylabot:
- The 2nd toe on my left foot is slightly longer than any other toe. I named him when I was 8 years old to Melvin due to insecurity. Also, I never wore open toed shoes until I was about 17.
- I live in Santa Monica and walk or ride my bike to work often.
- My favorite pastry is an almond croissant.
- I speak 3 languages: Ameri-english, Farsi (like an 11 year old), and French (though don’t make me sit through anything businessy or technical). I also took German and Japanese in school back when I had pipe dreams of being a linguist.
- I work in 3d animation for a company that creates high end software for film and commercials. So I tend to hang out with a LOT of nerdy guys who are super sweet.
- I never liked anime.
- I love all sorts of music, but the type with good beats always fills my iPod.
- The love of my life is a Cockachon named Oliver. That’s a Cocker Spaniel mixed with Bichon Frise. He was a gift to me from an ex-boyfriend.
- My oldest friend on the planet is George, we met on an exchange trip to France when I was 15.
- I have a terrible time meeting boys. Despite the fact that I’m surrounded by them.
